Terms & Conditions

1. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from Blyde Lodge. Until confirmation is received, availability cannot be guaranteed.

2. Payment Terms

• A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total booking value is required to secure your reservation.
• The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
• Bookings made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

• More than 60 days before arrival: Deposit forfeited.
• 30–60 days before arrival: 50% of total booking value charged.
• Less than 30 days before arrival: 100% of total booking value charged.
• We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations.

4. Check-in & Check-out

Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. Late check-out may be available on request and is subject to availability and an additional fee.

5. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to treat the property and its surroundings with respect. Blyde Lodge reserves the right to request guests to vacate the premises without refund in the event of misconduct, damage to property, or violation of house rules.

6. Liability

Blyde Lodge shall not be liable for loss, damage, injury, or death arising from activities undertaken during your stay, including but not limited to game drives, bush walks, and swimming. Guests participate in all activities at their own risk.

7. Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including natural disasters, government restrictions, or load shedding beyond our mitigation capacity), Blyde Lodge shall not be held liable. We will work with affected guests to find a mutually agreeable resolution.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
